OPPORTUNITY
AIP Asset Management’s CEO had historically maintained a more steady stream of media coverage, sharing insights on the evolving investment landscape. However, he began to notice a decline in media interest, with fewer interviews and less consistent coverage in top-tier publications. Given the CEO’s extensive expertise and strong market perspectives, he needed a strategic approach to reestablish his presence and amplify his thought leadership.
STRATEGY
Goldcomm partnered with the CEO to refine his messaging and elevate his media presence. We started by identifying key journalists and media outlets that aligned with his expertise in private markets, pre-IPO investing, and the broader investment landscape. From there, we prioritized relationship-building, connecting with journalists and arranging introductory meetings and background conversations to establish him as a go-to expert. At the same time, we closely monitored news developments, identifying the right moments for him to weigh in on trending stories and proactively sharing his insights with top-tier media.
RESULTS
Through this targeted approach, AIP’s CEO successfully regained a steady and high-impact media presence. We secured top-tier media placements in publications such as The Globe & Mail, Reuters, Bloomberg, Alternative Credit Investor, Wealth Professional, and broadcast spots on BNN and Schwab Network, reinforcing his authority in the industry. We also helped to create content for Investment Executive and Advocis, the leading financial advisor association in Canada. Additionally, we facilitated interviews with publications such as MarketWatch and The Information, broadening his book of journalist relationships. By maintaining media consistency, we ensured his insights remained at the forefront of industry conversations, strengthening both his personal brand and AIP’s visibility.
